1. Remove your range hood filter and place it in a baking sheet or kitchen sink.
2. Be sure to put on a pair of chemical resistant gloves.
3. Use a product like Super Clean and spay it onto the filter.
a. The grease will instantly start to breakdown. You can leave the product sit for about 5 minutes before rinsing it with water.
4. During those five minutes you can spray the inside of the range hood.
a. You should always do a pre-test on any surface to see if the product you are using will react well with it.
b. Don’t let the product you use sit on the range hood for any period of time. You can immediately start wiping down the surface with paper towels.
What impressive is that many times the grease on the range hood is worse than the filter. Seeing it come right off is like a miracle! Be sure to not let the product you use dry on the surface. Immediately wipe it off using a moist paper towel that has water on it. This also helps remove streaks.
